TRANSFER Teaching Innovation Project at Higher Education Institutions

The third module focuses on helping you transfer the skills gained during the certificate programme to your teaching practice. We can help you develop and implement innovative teaching projects on site. Your teaching project should demonstrate that you are able to professionally plan, execute and assess teaching events.

Possible Topics:

  • Design an innovative course spanning two summer and winter semesters, such as how to apply explorative learning.
  • Develop and use specific teaching and learning materials, such as collaboratively elaborated guidelines and work sheets for practitioners that are published online.
  • Develop alternative testing concepts that have been tailored toward defined learning objectives, such as the design and use of e-tests in moodle to prepare students for multiple-choice tests at the end of the semester.
  • Develop and implement alternative counselling and supervision concepts that are also time-saving and genuinely helpful, e.g. by establishing individual forms of support within larger degree courses, such as setting up an online support forum.
  • Develop and adjust new curricula.

Mentoring + Guidance:
You will be guided and mentored by an expert in higher education teaching and a research assistant employed by the BZHL. They will help you develop your concept, and be your point of contact during its implementation and for the final evaluation.

Potential participants interested in receiving supervision and guidance for a teaching project from the BZHL must participate in a BZHL FOKUS event, or participate in a comparable course provided by a partner university or institution of higher education.
